Education

The conflict has caused an immense disruption and tremendous destruction of education infrastructures in the Nuba Mountains. Some students have crossed the border to South Sudan to attend schools in refugee camps, but majority of them got cut off in caves with their families and lost hope pursuing education. Most teachers have followed their students to refugee camps where they can teach while receiving rations that equivalent to the salaries they could have earned. This situation is contributing to the growing illiteracy, which is disheartening. Therefore, our primary focus is to improve education by pay students’ school fees or pay teachers’ incentives. This is one of the schools that we support.
